Originally from Texas, Marantz moved to New York City in 2004 and began a musical journey that has taken him as far away as The Middle East, Europe, and Asia for tours performing live with the likes of Herbie Hancock, Jason Moran, and Terence Blanchard along the way. Matt continues to lead and co-lead ensembles in NYC and works as a sideman with various bandleaders.
